The convergence of two complementary worlds, that of industrial supply and that of manufacturers of industrial products, is essential to promote their mutual growth. These two sectors, although independent, are interdependent and find their strength in their collaboration.
A dynamic and buoyant sector that brings them together. This is why, within our GIFEC group, we encourage joint reflection and build solid relationships. For several years, we have maintained close partnerships with major players in industrial distribution, thus strengthening our commitment to innovate together.
The distribution of industrial supplies relies on the synergy between two key players: manufacturers and traders. This collaboration is essential because it allows for a balanced dynamic that effectively responds to market needs. The manufacturers, who design the products, and the traders, who distribute them, form an inseparable duo. Although these players compete in certain aspects, their integration into a single industrial supply market perfectly illustrates their interdependence. Indeed, this cooperation, despite competition, ensures a diversified offer adapted to the professional requirements of the sector.
GIFEC members play an essential role in achieving the objectives of the government's France 2030 Plan. As key players in the industrial supplies sector, they actively contribute to the modernization and competitiveness of French industry.
Their commitment is manifested through several axes:
GIFEC members are active and committed partners of the France 2030 Plan, helping to shape the future of French industry while responding to the major challenges of our time.
Companies must remain flexible and responsive to technological and regulatory developments in order to remain competitive on the global market. In this sense, the avenues of intersectoral collaborations and partnerships with schools and research institutions are essential to stimulate innovation.
The GIFEC has therefore strated in 2024 a partnership with the ESILV and launch a special “Artificial Intelligence” challenge to 4th grade students-engineers.
3 topics are submitted to students :
Industrialists sponsor the student teams. The objective is to develop an algorithm (AI) in 6 months. This allows students to cooperate with industrialists by getting involved in current issues, and be closer to the job market by establishing professional contacts.
The 3 projects will be presented by the students themselves in Marseille on May 22 during the GIFEC MEETINGS. A vote will be held on this occasion
to the 200 guests, to define the podium and award a prize to the students (1st, 2nd and 3rd).
